Why I Said NO to Training Kundalini Facilitators — Until I realized...

Updated: Jul 31

I did not want to train Kundalini Facilitators.

Even when people kept asking, I would referred them to established trainers and schools instead.

Now clearly something changed. If you read this you'll know about my Kundalini Facilitator Training and Mentorship at the School of Energetic Leadership.

Let me take you on a look inside my process of finally say YES LETS DO IT! But first, you need to know this about me; I never do anything 'just because' nor do I do things for strategy or status. I am a highly intentional person and so, before I even saw myself as ready enough to train others, I had made a long long journey of ripening.

Let me take you on a little trip into my journey:

Before I started training Kundalini Facilitators…

…I consistently facilitated countless Kundalini activation sessions — in groups, one-on-one, at retreats and special events — for 3 years.

Before and while I facilitated Kundalini Activations…

…I attended multiple trainings with different teachers and styles of energetic work, repeating several of them as an assistant.…while also teaching yoga, yin, meditation and breath work, and coaching people. CHECK OUT THE VISUAL VERSION OF THE JOURNEY HERE:

  • Kundalini Facilitator Training by Ingvild

Before I attended my first Kundalini Activation training…

…I was training yoga teachers. Running my own yoga studio. I had awakened conscious energy, meditated daily, and had been initiated into Kriya Yoga meditation for years.

Before I was training yoga teachers…

…I was teaching yoga, meditation, breath work, injury rehabilitation and yin yoga for 8 years — running my own studio, while also coaching 1-on-1 and leading retreats and workshops.

Before and during teaching yoga, running my studio and coaching…

…I kept refining myself through inner work, (intense) life experiences, self-practice, and training. Attending 700+ hours and assisting yoga teacher trainings — plus specializing in movement, philosophy, NLP, physiology, meditation and more.

Before I signed up for my first yoga teacher training…

…I had practiced yoga for a decade, purely for my own good. slowly coming out of the spiritual closet. While working in the performing arts — as a producer, tour manager, content creator, concept developer, talent guide.

Before and while I was working in the performing arts…

…I studied social work and photography. While also becoming a step-mom and later a mom. Keeping my spirituality hidden deep within myself

Before I started my social work degree…

…I was a dreamy teenager with little self-esteem but many hidden talents. Who secretly wrote poetry alone in her room. Already reading about spirituality and magic.

Before I was the dreamy teenager…

…I was an even dreamier child, often confused by this world. Who could not focus in school and had severe asthma since 9 months old. Was already writing poetry at age 8, and often couldn't tell the difference between the waking world and the dream state. with clairvoyant dreams and (thankfully) guidance from her spiritual mother and grounding from her scientific dad.

And that's still only part of the journey.

Okay...

So why, with all of that behind me, did I keep saying no?

It was only after seeing the gaps in the field - conversation after conversation with facilitator colleagues who felt lost in their own process behind the scenes (because 5–6 days of training is not enough) - watching some big schools fall apart Noticing that so many collegues and even teachers in the field had very little clue of what they were actually doing

That combined with my years in the field and through living and growing through my own process , knowing exactly what was missing

...that I realized: I have a job to do.

I have layers of depth, grounding, insight and energetic expansion to offer that the field is missing.

Only then did I decide to step forward

And I set some ground values for myself.

I only wanted to do this:

  • if I can mentor the students for 9 months, (instead of let the on their own after 5 days)

  • if their own inner process is the foundation

  • if they have enough personal foundation to carry the expansion

  • if the way I train genuinely adds to the evolution of this field

  • if the work stays pure and centered around the teachings, the energy and the real evolution; uncorrupted by shifting the focus to growing a brand

I still check in with myself on these anchors. It's what lets the work grow, even if it means the business grows slower than it otherwise would.

Because I've realized, deeply:

This work can only be done in true service. Otherwise it becomes something else.

Energy never lies.

And working with Energy will amplify any and all intentions.

If this resonates — if you feel called to facilitate Kundalini Activations and Expanded States of Consciousness — if you already facilitate the work and feel its time to step up your mastery:
