The meaning of life + 8 ways for Integration

Dearest Human,

Here’s a reminder that life is not about practicing.

…is not about goals.

...is not about performance.

…is not about being good enough or better.

…is not about winning.

…is not about success.

…is not about transcending, ascending, demanding

…is not about being more intelligent or smart

…is not about getting the most out of [...fill in the blancs]

All of the above can be part of your life experience. And your desires. But is any of the these things become the main focus, in the end what you lose is the connection to feeling ALIVE.

The meaning of life is in LIVING IT.

Here Now.

Engage in Life. In YOUR life.

Engage in the stupid dull little mundane things we all need to do to maintain our human bodies in good health.

Engage in the boring things we all need to do to maintain our surroundings.

The biggest illness of our time is dissociation.

Meaning: checking out of the present moment. Disconnecting from our body and our surroundings

Seeing what is HERE NOW right in front of us, in our human life as ‘less’. Or as ‘wrong’.

As ‘unspiritual’ or ‘low-vibe’.

That is judgement. And it might be the ‘lowest vibe though’ going around in spiritual communities.

The Magic, the bliss, the enlightenment is in BEING HERE NOW in and with your HUMAN SELF.

In my work I guide you into remembering what you have always been beyond our Human experience.

I do not guide you there to make you think those states should be your focus in life.

I guide you there to help you Remember that THOSE STATES ARE PART OF YOUR HUMAN LIFE. And that the real practice is in recognizing them in every little, seemingly unimportant act of your regular Human life.

YOU ARE IT.

If you are looking for deeper integration of your spirituality;

I formulated 8 ways of integration that won’t cost you anything, and some that even save you money:

  1. Give your house-cleaner a day off and go clean your own house. Do it with presence, and with gratitude. As an act of honoring the space you live in.

  2. When you do your morning and evening routine of brushing your teeth & taking care of your skin:

Do it with presence and intention.

Feel the toothbrush doing its work and remind yourself of how grateful you are for those teeth.

Apply your skincare products with awareness of what you apply them for.

And feel a deep honoring of this amazing skin of yours, and all it does for you.

  3. Every time you look in the mirror - SEE YOURSELF consciously Be curious of who you see. Acknowledge your unique beauty. Say kind words to yourself in the mirror, out loud!

  4. Clear out time in your schedule to clear out your most cluttered cupboard. Realize how wealthy you are for even being able to have stuff you don’t need or have the luxury of not using. Throw out what needs to be thrown out. Giveaway what things you don’t need that makes another happy, be royal. And maybe put some items on Vinted or some other secondhand market place for the joy of selling it.

  5. Go for a walk out in town or in nature. No headphones on. No phone in your hand. Just you and the environment. And look around with curiosity AS IF you never before saw trees, houses, birds, cars. Open yourself for the environment. What do you see that you never saw before? What do you feel? What do you smell? What do you hear? What arises within you?

  6. Go work in your garden and talk to your plants. Tell them your thoughts. Ask them how they are doing.

Tell them how beautiful you find them. Notice all the little insects that live in your garden. Say HI to them.

  7. Go cook a fantastic meal. One that you know you and your family enjoy BIG TIME. Make the grocery shopping for this meal into a feast, consciously choosing the best of every ingredient. Then taking all the time you can to prepare. Chop the veggies with presence and gratitude. If it’s a menu with meat and/or dairy in it, thank and bless the animals. Bless who they were, bless their souls. When it’s time to eat set up the table in a way that makes your heart jump and really BE TOGETHER with the people you are eating with. TASTE the flavors. SMELL the aroma’s of the dish. Connect with the people around you. (This will only cost you what you would already spend on food)

  8. Stop what you are doing right here and now… give yourself 10 minutes.

EVERYONE can miss 10 minutes in a day. Go sit somewhere comfortable enough to sit there for 10 minutes. It can be a quiet place, OR even in the middle of a cafe. Now close your eyes, take ONE deep breath in through the nose, out through your mouth. Turn your attention inwards. Without fighting the impulses from the outside coming in. Notice your spine and the whole line between the top of your head and your tailbone. Then with the most natural breath you start to move your attention up and down the line between the top of your head and your tailbone. With the intention of bringing your awareness and your energy into and flowing through your body.

Yes, the last one is a short meditation. The Meditative state is not about being high as a Kite. It is about being Here & Now with presence. And that is the exact state we need for INTEGRATION.

In meditation we practice that state, to bring it into our every-moment of life.
